Hardest Google Map Location to Play Pac-Man On: April Fool’s Day, 2015

Today on this April Fool’s Day, Google, in it’s usual fashion, unveiled a funny prank to amuse Google Maps users today. They have turned the world into a gigantic Pac-Man game. While working hard today, I also took the hard work out of playing some Pac-Man for you and have found 6 amusing, and in some respects, the most difficult places to try and gain a high score on this classic with a twist.

Game on gamer, and follow the links to find the same maps I played! 🙂

Arc de Triomphe, Paris

Arc de Triomphe, Paris

Being known for it’s Greco-Roman, Renaissance-inspired city center, it makes for a bit of an intermediate Pac-Man experience, being able to scoop in and zip out keeps the ghosties on the run for you while keeping your need to time things correctly a high priority. The developers seem to have enhanced the ghosts artificial behavior to be a little more ruthless since their movements do not seem entirely based on your current position in conjunction to the intersection the came across.

Moscow, West there of

Moscow is particularly known for it’s terrible transit system, so for this April Fool’s Day prank, it makes for a particularly challenging, when looking west of the city center. having roads with no outlet, and cul-de-sacs make the game very challenging with the advanced AI. Unfortunately, Google didn’t make Molotov cocktails a power-up option against the ghosties.

Sidi Yahiya Mosque

Sidi Yahiya Mosque – Timbuktu, Mali

Partially believed by some Americans to be a fictitious place, Timbuktu is a real city by all means. Located in the heart of the Sahara Desert in central Mali. While having very tight housing and cramped city streets, playing Pac-Man here can prove very hard, considering there is no method to the madness of how the roads are laid out. Getting the exact nuances of what exactly is left or maybe down on the arrow keys is quite difficult.

Bunker Hill

Bunker Hill Memorial – Boston, MA

The Battle of bunker Hill will have new meaning in my memories now. No longer will middle school history class come to mind. With only one way in and one way out, getting all the yellow dots in the Bunker Hill Memorial and the surrounding streets will leave you slamming your keyboard for sure!

Googleplex – San Fransisco, CA

Yep, even the roads of Google’s own administration building are funky just for today! Quite an advanced map, the series of roads makes it one of the more difficult games to play on the map. Gobbling up cherries on the Googleplex should prove to be an afternoon challenge. Can you make the high score?

Harvard Square

Harvard Square – Boston, MA

Yep another one in Boston, and what in the world is going on in the upper-right corner of that level?! Think getting into Harvard is tough, try getting out alive with a high score on these mean streets! While it is one of the most massive and intellectually sound courtyards in America, this Pac-Man level will leave you mashing your arrow keys trying to gobble all the fruit and dots available. By far the hardest level I have found and I like dem apples!
